Netflix has announced that vampire drama First Kill will not return for a second season. The teen series premiered on June 10 on the streamer and featured Imani Lewis and Sarah Catherine Hook as Calliope and Juliette, two star crossed lovers. One is a human monster hunter, while the other is a vampire who has yet to make her first kill. When their paths collide, they (and their warring families) are forced to make tough choices for love.

First Kill was based on a short story by author Victoria “V. E.” Schwab, who also executive produced the series alongside Emma Roberts, Karah Preiss, and showrunner Felicia D. Henderson. You can read our review of the series here.
