A new My Hero Academia visual has been released, along with the news that series will return for its highly anticipated sixth season on October 1.
The latest poster depicts Deku and the heroes charging into battle, ready for a brawl with Shigaraki and the villains, which we’ll see play out as a part of the manga’s Paranormal Liberation War arc. Following the events of season 5, which introduced the Paranormal Liberation Front, an all-out war looms on the horizon.
My Hero Academia is an ongoing Japanese superhero manga series, written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi, which was later adapted into an anime series. Set in a world where a majority of the population is born with superpowers called quirks, it follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless boy who dreams of becoming a superhero. After crossing paths with Japan’s number one hero and his personal idol, All Might, Midoriya is chosen to be his successor and is accepted into a prestigious hero academy, U.A. High School.
Ahead of the premiere, two season 5 OVAs — “HLB” and “Laugh! As if you are in hell” — will arrive on August 1.
