No Reservation Requirements, No Restrictions: Aquatica Is Back!

Share:

Aquatica is back this summer, and guests can now visit the parks with no reservation requirements and restrictions. Also, the park, rides and attractions, food and beverage, and merchandise outlets are open and ready for summer fun! Guests can experience the exhilaration of the all-new water slide Reef Plunge in Orlando and the all-new splashy dueling racer waterslide Riptide Race in San Antonio, both of which are now open.

Aquatica’s newest attraction is Reef Plunge, which sends guests sliding through eye-catching translucent cutouts and rings, and twists and turns through over 330 feet of fiberglass, zooming past a vibrant array of marine life in the new dynamic habitat. Commerson’s dolphins, leopard sharks, sardines, and a variety of other cold-water fish will call Reef Plunge home.

Of the best outdoor water park recognition, USA Today noted, “…Aquatica Orlando draws 1.5 million visitors per year while seamlessly integrating sea life into rides. Its signature attraction, Reef Plunge, is an enclosed tube slide that passes through a pool of playful, black and white Commerson’s dolphins. Guests can also take a leisurely raft ride down Loggerhead Lane through colorful exotic fish. Aquatica’s South Seas theme is further enhanced by 60,000 lush, tropical plants covering its 60 acres.”

Deep in the heart of Texas is Aquatica San Antonio, a tropical resort-style waterpark with everything from serene beaches and hideaways to extreme slides and rides, designed to help beat the sweltering summer heat.

New for 2022 is Riptide Race, now open! This pipeline ride, the first of its kind in San Antonio, combines everything guests love about Aquatica’s existing rides with a new layer of fun — good-natured competition by featuring dueling side-by-side flumes and low walls to give racers a full view of the competition. Atop a 51-foot tower, guests board a two-person raft and race through 565 feet of slides. Guests can challenge each other and vie for victory while speeding through each turn, spin, and loop to see which team feels the rush of victory as they blast into a cool refreshing splashdown.

There’s no better time for guests to buy a ticket or a pass and visit today! One of the best ways for guests to experience the all-new Reef Plunge and Riptide Race is with an Aquatica Fun Card, which offers park admission through December 31, 2022, for one low price. For even more unbeatable benefits, guests can purchase an Aquatica Annual Pass and enjoy 12 months of visits with special benefits like free parking, free guest tickets, access to special VIP events, savings on merchandise, and more.
