Prime Video’s highly anticipated adaptation of Jenny Han‘s The Summer I Turned Pretty, won’t air until next Friday, June 17, but the streamer has shown their faith in the series success by revealing that a second season has already been ordered.

If the success of the bestselling book is any indication, Prime Video certainly has the right idea. The Summer I Turned Pretty quickly became a bestseller when it dropped back in 2009 and its sequels only made the book more popular. Plus, Han has become one of the biggest names in YA romances over the last decade, with thousands of fans ready to follow whatever project she chooses next — including more seasons of this show.

The second season will be based on the second book in Han’s series, It’s Not Summer Without You, continuing the story of Belly (Lola Tung), Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) as they deal with the aftermath of the summer shown in season 1. There is so much more to the story that fans are bound to love the show’s second season just as much as they, hopefully, do the first.
