It has been announced that Amanda Peet (Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story) will join the cast of the Paramount+ original series Fatal Attraction.

The series is a reimagining of the classic ’80s psychological thriller of the same name. The series “will explore fatal attraction and the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.”

Peet will star as Beth Gallagher who manages to juggle her roles as a loyal wife, mother, and owner of a successful small business. However, her husband Dan proves to not be as loyal and this threatens to destroy their relationship and change their lives.

Joshua Jackson (Fringe) will play her husband, Dan Gallagher, and Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex) will star as Alex Forrest, the woman with whom Dan has an affair.
