Cobra Kai is gaining a new sensei! Deadline has reported that Alicia Hannah-Kim will join season 5 of Netflix’s Cobra Kai. She will play Kim Da-Eun, a “formidable South Korean sensei” who is part of Terry Silver’s expansion plans. Along with the addition of Hannah-Kim, the series has also promoted Dallas Dupree Young to series regular. Young plays Kenny, a Cobra Kai student who was introduced to the show last season.

Season 5 will see the fallout from the All Valley Tournament. Terry Silver and the Cobra Kai dojo are fresh off the win, and Silver is expanding his reach, setting up new dojos across the valley. With Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang out of commission, Daniel turns to his former nemesis Chozen for help. Meanwhile, Johnny and Robby head on a road trip to find Miguel.

Along with Young and Hannah-Kim, Cobra Kai stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Thomas Ian Griffith, Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Peyton List, Mary Mouser, and Tanner Buchanan, among others. Yuji Okumoto will reprise his role as Chozen.

Cobra Kai season 5 premieres on September 9 only on Netflix. Watch the teaser trailer below and find our previous coverage here.
