Filming has officially wrapped on The Winchesters! The Supernatural prequel pilot has been in production in New Orleans for the past month. Executive producer Danneel Ackles and pilot director Glen Winter both shared photos from the set to commemorate the occasion, with an aesthetic reminiscent of the early seasons of Supernatural.
The Winchesters is executive produced by Jensen and Danneel Ackles through Chaos Machine Productions alongside Robbie Thompson, who previously wrote for and produced Supernatural. The prequel is set to tell the untold story of Mary Campbell (Meg Donnelly) and John Winchester (Drake Rodger) prior to the events of the original hit series, with several new characters set to be introduced to existing canon.
Donnelly, Rodger, Nida Khurshid, Jojo Fleites, Demetria McKinney, and Bianca Kajlich will star in the pilot, with no word yet on whether the prequel has been ordered to series. Stay tuned for more news as we get it!
