Saturday Night Live has announced the hosts and musical guests for April 2022’s show lineup. Jerrod Carmichael, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Lizzo will host April’s shows with musical guests Gunna, Camila Cabello, and Lizzo performing the same night she hosts.

Carmichael will make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut April 2 alongside musical guest Gunna, who is also making an SNL debut. Carmichael’s new special, Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel, debuts April 1 on HBO. Gunna is a Grammy Award-nominated artist whose latest album, DS4Ever, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Gyllenhaal will be returning to host on the Saturday Night Live stage for the second time on April 9, 15-years after his hosting debut in 2007, though he has made a few notable appearances on the show since. The Academy Award-nominated actor’s newest film, Ambulance, is set to release just the day before, April 8. Cabello will also be making her second appearance as musical guest, with her highly anticipated new album Familia releasing April 8 as well.

Lizzo will be performing double duty when she takes the stage for her Saturday Night Live hosting debut and second musical guest appearance on April 16. The Grammy winner stars in the competition series Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, which is premiering March 25 on Prime Video.

All episodes of Saturday Night Live are available to stream on Peacock.
