‘Isle of The Dead’: AMC Greenlights New Series Starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Today, AMC Networks announced yet another addition to The Walking Dead Universe, a new series centered on Negan and Maggie, Isle of The Dead.

Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan will once again reprise their roles as the fan-favorite characters for the series that will see them traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.”

The first season of Isle of The Dead will premiere on AMC+ and AMC in 2023 with six episodes. Eli Jorné is serving as showrunner and executive producer of the series, overseen by Scott M. Gimple, the chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe. Cohan and Morgan will also serve as executive producers.
