The CW has announced the first two series regulars for its Gotham Knights pilot! Variety first reported the news. Fallon Smythe and Tyler DiChiara will play siblings Harper and Cullen Row, respectively. Harper is described as a “blue-haired bisexual” with a sarcastic personality and a talent for engineering. Cullen is a transgender teenager who is ready to live his life after years of hiding from his abusive parents. Smythe is best known for I Didn’t Do It and grown-ish while DiChiara starred in the film Relish.
Gotham Knights is not a spin-off of any existing DC show on the network, but will be co-created by Natalie Abrams, James Stoteraux, and Chad Fiveash of Batwoman. It is also not based on the upcoming Gotham Knights video game. The description from The CW teases a Gotham-esque exploration of DC villains.
“The one-hour drama takes place in in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder. His rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.”
Executive producer Danny Canon (Gotham) recently revealed the pilot is set to film in April. Stay tuned for more casting news as we get it!
