‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Disney+ Series Release Date Confirmed

Following today’s epic finale of The Book of Boba Fett, the premiere date for Disney+’s next upcoming Star Wars show has just been confirmed. Obi-Wan Kenobi will land on the streaming service on May 25 (a callback to the release dates of A New Hope and Return of the Jedi). The first official poster for the limited series has also been released.

The story of Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, which saw Kenobi faced with his greatest defeat: the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker. Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reprise their roles as the iconic Jedi Master and the fearsome Darth Vader, respectively.

Other familiar faces set to appear in the show include Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse as Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru. The rest of the cast includes Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

The series is executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and Joby Harold.

Stay tuned for all of our upcoming coverage on Obi-Wan Kenobi!
