Disney+ announces A Small Light limited documentary series coming soon.
The limited series by National Geographic will tell the incredible true story of Miep Gies, the young woman who hid Anne Frank and her family in the annex above Otto Frank’s business for two years.
Gies is also responsible for preserving Anne Frank’s diaries. In 1947 Frank’s writings would be published in The Diary of a Young Girl. Later on, in 1987, Gies would publish Anne Frank Remembered, giving an honest firsthand look into her experience hiding the Frank family and her relationship with Anne Frank.
A Small Light will be a scripted 7-episode limited documentary series with casting underway. Filming is to begin in Europe in a few months.
