With production underway in Atlanta, The CW has announced the latest casting news for Tom Swift! Ashleigh Murray will join the series as the female lead opposite Tian Richards as the titular billionaire. Murray is a veteran of The CW, having starred on Riverdale as Josie McCoy and later reprising the character on the spin-off series Katy Keene alongside Lucy Hale. Murray will play Zenzi Fullerton, Tom’s childhood best friend who is one of the few people who can keep him grounded.

Tom Swift will follow Tom’s adventures as he searches for his missing father. The character previously appeared on Nancy Drew in a backdoor pilot setting up his own series. The series is written and created by Melinda Hsu Taylor, Noga Landau, and Cameron Johnson.

There is no premiere date set for the series. You can find our other Tom Swift coverage here!
