New Teaser Released for ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’
Get ready for the best villain origin story of the summer. Illumination has released the new teaser trailer for Minions: The Rise of Gru.
In the next installment of the Despicable Me franchise comes the untold story of 12-year-old Felonious Gru’s dream to become the world’s greatest supervillain.
In the early 1970s, a young Gru (Steve Carell), a fanboy of a supervillain supergroup known as the Vicious 6, becomes desperate to be evil enough to join them. Gru hatches a plan to take himself to the top and join the group in world domination. Luckily for Gru, he gets some backup from his loyal followers, the Minions. Together, Kevin, Stuart, Bob, Otto, and a new Minion sporting braces use their skills to help Gru build their first lair, experiment with their first weapons, and pull off their first missions.

Minions: The Rise of Gru stars Steve Carell, Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh, RZA, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lucy Lawless, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo, Russell Brand, with Julie Andrews and Alan Arkin. It was directed by Kyla Balda, Brad Ableson, Jonathan del Val, and written by Brian Lynch, Mathew Fogel, and Cinco Paul.
The dream for world domination begins on July 1, 2022, only in theaters.
