More news is finally starting to trickle in about the upcoming Blade reboot, which will integrate the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Delroy Lindo (The Good Fight) is now set to star opposite the previously announced Mahershala Ali (Moonlight, Green Book). While Ali will portray Blade himself, Lindo’s role is still under wraps at the moment.

First born on the pages of Marvel Comics in 1973, Eric Books aka Blade is a half-human/half-vampire who lives his life in pursuit of eradicating the world of the undead. The character was portrayed by Wesley Snipes in the original film trilogy, which began in 1998, and by Sticky Fingaz in the 2006 television series.
