In a move guaranteed to build even more anticipation for the upcoming Marvel Studios series Echo, Shoshannah Stern has joined the writing staff! Stern will co-write alongside her This Close co-creator Josh Feldman, Rebecca Roanhorse, Bobby Wilson, Steven Paul Judd, Jason Gavin, Ken Kristensen, Dara Resnik, Jessica Mecklenburg, Kaitlyn Jeffers, and head writer Marion Dayre.

Echo follows Maya Lopez/Echo, a Deaf Native American superhero who will make her first appearance in the upcoming series Hawkeye before getting her own show. Echo will join Makkari (Lauren Ridloff) as one of two Deaf superheroes in the MCU. Alaqua Cox will play the character in her first on-screen role.

There is no word yet on when to expect Echo to hit Disney+, but Hawkeye will debut with two episodes on November 24 with four episodes to follow.
