Owen Wilson (Loki) will return as the famous racecar Lightning McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy (Witless Protection) will return as the lovable tow truck Mater. The Cars trilogy follows the two of them as they meet and go on adventures on the racetrack, across the world, and back home in Radiator Springs.
To celebrate Disney+ Day, the streamer has released new concept art images of the upcoming show. The best friends will encounter dinosaurs, go on a Mad Max-style quest, and go on a good old-fashioned night drive.
Cars on the Road is set to premiere in 2022.
