DC Kids and HBO Max

WarnerMedia Kids & Family presents a sneak peek of the first four minutes of the premiere episode. This is the new HBO Max animated reimagining of the iconic DC Super Hero and tells an original tale about Aquaman’s first adventures as King of Atlantis. The new animated mini-series will feature Cooper Andrews’ (The Walking Dead) Aquaman, Gillian Jacobs (Community) as Mera, the water controlling warrior-princess, Thomas Lennon (Reno 911) as Vulko, and Dana Snyder (Jellystone!) as Ocean Master.

Even King Aquaman can have a difficult first day is the premise of episode 1. In it, we see Aquaman introduced as King of Atlantis by warrior-princess Mera. There he is joined by his royal advisor Vulko in the first four minutes of the premiere episode, “The Dead Sea.” Aquaman sets out to find missing citizens in a distant outpost. Faced with trying to be the best king possible, he’s challenged at every turn by adventures, monstrous creatures, and thrilling battles. Even his own half-brother, Ocean Master, is trying to overthrow him.

The series is executive produced by James Wan (Aquaman and Malignant), Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear (Annabelle Comes Home) and Rob Hackett (Swamp Thing), and Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!). Victor Courtright (ThunderCats Roar!) and Marly Halpern-Graser (Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) serve as showrunners and co-executive producers.

Episode 1 premieres Thursday, October 14 on HBO Max, followed by “Chapter Two: Primordeus” on Thursday, October 21, and “Chapter Three: Tidal Shift” on Thursday, October 28.
