The classic Karate Kid trilogy is getting the HD treatment! Sony Pictures has announced that The Karate Kid collectible limited edition 4K Ultra HD set is headed your way on December 7, 2021. Featuring Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, the set will also include new special features!
The collection includes all three films: The Karate Kid, directed by John G. Avildsen and starring Ralph Macchio and Noriyuki “Pat” Morita in his Academy Award®-nominated performance (Best Supporting Actor, 1984) as Mr. Miyagi. The Karate Kid Part II, which follows Daniel (Macchio) to his Okinawa home for the first time in 45 years, and Miyagi (Morita) encounters Yukie (Nobu McCarthy), the woman he left behind when he immigrated to America. And The Karate Kid Part III, in which Daniel is in danger of losing it all when he places pride before principle in this powerful sequel to the hit feature films.
Each 4K Ultra HD disc features the film mastered in 4K resolution from the original camera negative, with Dolby Vision and English Dolby Atmos audio. Additional features for the collection can be found below.
