Nearly two years ago it was announced that Taylor Jenkins Reid’s popular novel Daisy Jones & The Six would be receiving small screen treatment at Amazon. Today, filming on the series has begun!
For those who haven’t read the book, it follows Daisy, the main protagonist, and rock band The Six in the height of ’60s and ’70s rock. Daisy spends most of her time sneaking into clubs dreaming of singing on stage. While making a name for herself in the music industry, she eventually joins The Six, thus forming Daisy Jones & The Six. However, the band isn’t quite ready for just how famous they’re about to get as they retell the story of why they eventually split.
The Amazon Prime series stars Riley Keough as Daisy Jones, Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, and Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes.
The limited series will have 13 episodes total. Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine is producing.
