NYCC Announces New Guests Including Jurnee Smollett
Large-scale conventions in the time of COVID have been incredibly difficult to plan and guest announcements for New York Comic Con have been slow-moving, however, they are starting to announce and they have some amazing talent.
Today on Twitter, NYCC announced Jurnee Smollett (Lovecraft Country, Birds of Prey) will be attending on Saturday, October 9th for photo ops and autographs. You can purchase her photo op now on the website (www.newyorkcomiccon.com) for $80 and her autograph at her table for $50.
The website was also updated with some more new guests. Earlier this week, fans were able to make panel reservations and were surprised when the cast of The Boys happened to be an option. Many, myself included, jumped on that reservation without knowing who would be attending. Well, it looks like we have an idea now. Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, and Karen Fukuhara will be in attendance on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Erin will be available on Fri/Sat). You can purchase their photo ops and autographs right now on NYCC’s website. Antony Starr has photo ops up for $55 and autographs for $50. Jack, Erin, and Karen have photo ops for $50 and autographs for $40.
Some other notable additions are Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek, Orange is the New Black), Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica, Blade Runner), and Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica). All will have photo ops and autographs available for purchase online and onsite.
These new guests join the already-announced lineup of David Harbour, Hayden Christensen, John Cena, George Takei, and William Shatner for what is sure to be an amazing first New York Comic Con back since the pandemic.
