Marvel Studios Nabs First-Ever Emmy for ‘WandaVision’

Marvel Studios is now an Emmy winner, with WandaVision picking up its first award!

The studio has taken home its first-ever Emmy award, what is likely to be one of many over the course of the two-weekend event. WandaVision‘s first win came for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program (Half-Hour).

WandaVision is nominated for a total 23 awards at the Emmys. The Creative Emmys will run into tomorrow, Sunday, September 13, and conclude with the Emmys next weekend on Sunday, September 19 on CBS at 8 p.m. EST. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier also picked up five nominations.

Along with its first Emmy win, WandaVision picked up two wins at the Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards. One went to Kathryn Hahn for Supporting Actress, the second for Best Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Live Action TV Movie, boding well for the series’ chances at TV’s biggest awards.

WandaVision was the first of Marvel’s series to premiere, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki following its January debut. It set the course for what has thus far been a very successful run for the studio in the world of television. Re-imagining the superhero genre as a whole, WandaVision took the world by storm.

Stay tuned for WandaVision‘s total award count this weekend when the show ends tomorrow night. And don’t miss the Emmy awards next weekend to see if the series takes home the coveted Outstanding Limited Series!
