The cover for Alexis Hall’s Husband Material has been revealed! Fans of the bestselling novel Boyfriend Material have been anxiously awaiting its sequel since the original was published in July 2020.

The cover reveal came courtesy of authors Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings, who write together under the name Christina Lauren. The pair unveiled the cover on Instagram while launching a contest to win a copy. The Husband Material cover was designed by Elizabeth Turner Stokes and features a number of Easter eggs for fans of the first book.

The synopsis released by the book’s publisher makes it clear readers are in for more humor and heart as our favorite pair of fake-dating-to-real-dating lovers debate whether to take the next step in their relationship.

“Wanted: One (very real) husband. Nowhere near perfect but desperately trying his best.

In BOYFRIEND MATERIAL, Luc and Oliver met, pretended to fall in love, fell in love for real, dealt with heartbreak and disappointment and family and friends … and somehow figured out a way to make it work. Now it seems like everyone around them is getting married, and Luc’s feeling the social pressure to propose. But it’ll take more than four weddings, a funeral, and a bowl full of special curry to get these two from “I don’t know what I’m doing” to “I do.”

Good thing Oliver is such perfect HUSBAND MATERIAL.”

Husband Material will be released on August 2, 2022. The audiobook version is available to pre-order now (more information on Hall’s website). Hall has a number of other projects set to release next year, including Something Fabulous. His latest novel Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake is on sale now.
