Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are teaming up again for the ninth time!

The Marvel alums are in final talks to star in a new action-adventure romance film for Apple, Ghosted, directed by Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman, Bohemian Rhapsody).

Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese of Deadpool and Zombieland have penned the script. Evans, Reese, and Wernick will also produce alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger of Skydance.

Evans and Johansson are no strangers to the screen together, starring in early 2000s films The Perfect Score and The Nanny Diaries together before starring in six Marvel films (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and all four Avengers films). This is Evans’ second project with Apple TV. His first came in 2020 as Andy Barber in the limited series Defending Jacob.

Johansson has also been cast in an upcoming Wes Anderson film. Evans’ next film, The Gray Man, where he stars alongside Ryan Gosling, wrapped filming this past summer. No release date has been set, but it’s expected to premiere on Netflix sometime next year. He will also be voicing the real-life astronaut Buzz Lightyear the toy was based on for Pixar. Lightyear is releasing next summer.

The news was first reported by Deadline. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
