Sebastian Stan Joins Cast of Apple and A24’s ‘Sharper’
As first reported by Deadline, Sebastian Stan is now set to star opposite Julianne Moore in Apple and A24’s upcoming film Sharper.
Sharper comes from a Black List spec screenplay written by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, and it follows a con artist (Moore) in Manhattan. Stan, meanwhile, will portray a conman named Max who is “known for carrying out complicated plans and making away with large sums of money.”
The Crown‘s Benjamin Caron is on board to direct.
Stan’s latest project, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, is now streaming exclusively on Disney+. The miniseries sees him reprise his decade-long Marvel Cinematic Universe role as James “Bucky” Barnes aka the Winter Soldier. Fans can also catch him in a voice role in the upcoming animated Marvel series What If…?, which premieres on August 11.
Stan is currently filming Pam & Tommy, a Hulu series based on the infamous relationship between Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.
Sharper is Moore’s second project with Apple, the first being the limited series Lisey’s Story, a thriller from writer Stephen King that’s currently streaming on Apple TV+.
