HipDot to Launch My Chemical Romance ‘Danger Days’ Makeup Collection

This one’s for all you rock ‘n rollers, all you crash queens and motor babies, listen up!

As exclusively revealed by Allure, the vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics brand HipDot is back at it again with another collaboration with My Chemical Romance.

Each of My Chemical Romance’s studio albums over the years ushered in a distinct look and feel for the band and their music, and HipDot’s next collection will be traversing the band’s brightest, most colorful era — Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. The 2010 album was a stark departure from that of 2006’s The Black Parade, but given the band’s proven versatility, it was a hit nonetheless. Between Gerard’s bright red hair, the band’s unforgettable characters, and the fascinating, post-apocalyptic California landscape it was set in (and the comics that followed!), Danger Days was nothing short of iconic.

HipDot released its first collab with the band last December, which featured an eye shadow palette, eye brush, and liquid eyeliner inspired by My Chemical Romance’s 2004 hit album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. The highly sought-after collection sold out in the blink of an eye during each subsequent wave of pre-orders.

The Danger Days makeup collection will include an eye shadow palette, white liquid eyeliner, a twist-up white kohl pencil, white eye shadow primer, and four shades of metallic lip gloss.

The nine shades included in the eye shadow palette, which is beautifully vibrant and on-brand with the overall Danger Days aesthetic, are all named in reference to the album. The palette box features artwork that includes the mailbox shrine.

The lip kit pays tribute to the Fabulous Killjoys with shades representing each character: Kobra Kid (Mikey Way), Party Poison (Gerard Way), Fun Ghoul (Frank Iero), and Jet Star (Ray Toro).

This limited edition collection, which will reportedly retail for $98, will be available for pre-order via hipdot.com on July 22. Killjoys, make some noise!
