Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us) will have a guest role on the upcoming fourth season of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. And fans of Stars Hollow will know that this role will reunite him with Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. He joins Alex Borstein, Liza Weil, Brian Tarantina, and Emily Bergl as former Stars Hollow residents who have appeared on the Emmy-winning show.
Ventimiglia’s This Is Us co-star, Sterling K. Brown, played a pivotal role in the show’s third season, which earned him an Emmy nomination for best supporting actor in a comedy series.
Ventimiglia appeared in 37 episodes of Gilmore Girls starting in the show’s second season and was the center of a potential spinoff that followed his character, Jess Mariano, to California. Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (2016) saw him reprise his role.
Season 4 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will pick up shortly after the end of season 3, where Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) suffered a professional setback when a pop singer’s manager (Brown) dropped her as the opening act on his tour.
