Donnie Yen Boards ‘John Wick 4’

Legendary martial artist and actor Donnie Yen will join Keanu Reeves in the fourth chapter of John Wick. Yen is set to play one of Wick’s oldest companions, someone he shares the same history (and enemies) with. Deadline exclusively reported the news.

Yen is widely respected, starring in the IP Man franchise, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and most recently the live-action Mulan. His casting comes soon after the announcement of Rina Sawayama being cast in a leading role.

Filming is set to begin this summer. Chad Stahelski is directing with Shay Hatten and Michael Finch penning the script. John Wick 4 is currently slated for release on May 27, 2022.
