‘Firefly Lane’ Renewed for Second Season at Netflix

Tully and Kate will be returning to our screens now that Netflix has renewed its hit series Firefly Lane for a second season!

Starring Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy) as Tully and Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) as Kate, Firefly Lane showcases their rock-solid friendship over three decades that take them through first loves, heartbreak, family matters, career hits and misses, and so much more.

Heigl and Chalke announced the exciting news yesterday while they were answering fans’ questions about the series:

The series is based on the novel of the same name by bestselling author Kristin Hannah, who served as co-executive producer on the 10-episode first season. The cast also included Ben Lawson (Designated Survivor), Jon-Michael Ecker (Queen of the South), and Brendan Taylor (Supernatural).

Maggie Friedman (Witches of East End, Eastwick) will continue as showrunner/EP. The second season will debut in 2022.

Margaret has been a writer and editor for Nerds and Beyond since 2018. She loves Grogu, Doctor Who, and The OA. And she's still salty about #WaywardSisters. Find her on Twitter and TikTok at @MargNation.
