Following the story of William, the son of Bill Brody, a well-known and respected storm chaser who was killed on the job, he is keen on making a name for himself in the business as well. He especially wants to continue the family legacy because his father’s name has been turned into a storm chasing tour business. William runs away from home and partners up with Roy (Ulrich), Bill’s old partner. William’s mother (Heche) is desperate to track down her son so she enlists the help of William’s classmate to help protect him as they head deeper into the eye of an extremely dangerous storm.
