First Look Photos and Cast Revealed for Netflix’s German Film ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’
Production has been in full swing near Prague since March for the upcoming German film adaptation of Erich Maria Remarque’s 1928 novel All Quiet on the Western Front. Today, first look photos and an array of new cast members were finally revealed!
Directed by Edward Berger (Jack, Patrick Melrose) with a screenplay by Berger, Ian Stokell, and Lesley Paterson, the film follows a young German soldier’s terrifying experiences and distress on the western front during World War I. Previously, Daniel Brühl (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Rush) was the only cast member officially attached to the film. It has been revealed he will portray Matthias Erzberger.
Other cast members now announced include Felix Kammerer as the novel’s lead Paul Bäumer, Albrecht Schuch (Kat), Moritz Klaus (Frantz Müller), Aaron Hilmer (Albert Kropp), Edin Hasanovic (Tjaden Stackfleet), Devid Striesow, and Andreas Döhler.

All Quiet on the Western Front is produced by Malte Grunert of Amusement Park Film.
Currently, All Quiet on the Western Front is targeting a release date sometime in the latter half of 2022. Filming is expected to take place in the Czech Republic until the end of May. Stay tuned for more news on the film.
