“It’s time for her story.”

It’s National Superhero Day and we can think of no better hero to ring it in than Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow herself. In the video Black Widow actress Scarlett Johansson takes us through the career of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Natasha, but asks a great question — do we know her? Not yet. And it’s time we did.

After a long pandemic delay, Natasha’s story is finally coming to light when Black Widow releases this summer.

Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Starring alongside Johansson is Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as The Red Guardian/Alexei, and Rachel Weisz and Melina.

Black Widow is the first film coming out of Marvel’s Phase 4 and will release on July 9 in theaters and at home with Disney+ Premier Access.
