‘Promising Young Woman’ Wins Academy Award

The Academy has honored the film Promising Young Woman with an Oscar! The film was nominated for a total of five awards, winning for Best Original Screenplay by Emerald Fennell. The dark comedy was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress in a Leading Role (Carey Mulligan), Best Director (Fennell), and Film Editing.

You can read our interview with star Chris Lowell here, where he discusses the themes of the film and how it starts a conversation about difficult topics like sexual assault. Promising Young Woman is available to rent or buy on many digital platforms.
