‘Nomadland’, ‘Sound of Metal’, and ‘Promising Young Woman’ Win Big at Film Independent Spirit Awards
Ahead of the Academy Awards this Sunday, the Film Independent Spirit Awards have announced their winners. The Spirit Awards honored television as well as film for the first time this year, with I May Destroy You and Unorthodox winning many of the inaugural television categories. On the film side, Nomadland once again won many of the major awards. Sound of Metal and Promising Young Woman also did well, with wins in the Best Actor and Best Actress categories respectively.
