Disney Will Release Exclusive Oscars Trailers For ‘West Side Story’, ‘In the Heights’, And More!

As part of the festivities surrounding this Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony, Disney has announced that it will debut several trailers for its upcoming slate of films during the Oscars broadcast. Each film trailer will be accompanied by one of its stars sharing their favorite movie moments to celebrate the the theatrical movie experience. The Oscars plan to acknowledge the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had in-person moviegoing through the “Bring Your Movie Love” theme.

The trailers Disney has confirmed for the event are West Side Story (introduced by Ariana DeBose), In the Heights (Lin-Manuel Miranda), and Summer of Soul (Questlove), with more expected to be announced later. Be sure to keep following Nerds and Beyond for more Oscar night coverage!
