‘Never Have I Ever’ Recruits Common for Season 2

Share

The Netflix original series Never Have I Ever has gained another new cast member! Actor and rapper Common has joined the upcoming second season in a recurring role.

Common will play Dr. Chris Jackson, who’s described as a “suave and debonair dermatologist.” Dr. Jackson works in the same building as Nalini and runs a high-end practice that caters to celebs, impressing everyone except Nalini. Entertainment Weekly has also provided a first look at his character, which you can find here.

With Dr. Jackson’s arrival, there’s sure to be some friction between him and Nalini. Whether the two eventually become friendly or create a rivalry is yet to be seen. However, this may also mean we’ll get to see Nalini more in action at her practice.

Never Have I Ever follows Devi Vishwakumar, a first-generation Indian-American teenager reacclimating to high school after the sudden and unexpected death of her father. Season 2 will see her tackle new relationships and also reckon with the news Nalini dropped last season that she wants to move to India.

Season 2 is due to arrive this summer, though no release date has been announced yet. Follow the rest of our coverage on the show here, and stay tuned for more updates.

Season 1 of Never Have I Ever is streaming now on Netflix.
