Netflix has renewed its sensational, groundbreaking series Bridgerton for seasons 3 and 4!
Bridgerton took the world by storm in late 2020, becoming the most-watched original series on the streaming platform. Viewers were swept away by the stunning performances and set, and now we can rejoice that we get at least three more seasons to follow three more of the Bridgerton siblings as they look for love.
The show is based on the book series, The Bridgerton Series, by Julia Quinn. Season 1 followed the eldest sister, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), as she found love with the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) as told in the first novel of the series, The Duke and I.
Season 2 has already been confirmed to center around the eldest Bridgerton brother, Anthony, and Kate Sharma as based on the second novel, The Viscount Who Loved Me.
Following this trend, seasons 3 and 4 would follow their respective novels, An Offer From a Gentleman and Romancing Mister Bridgerton, each following the other two of-age Bridgerton brothers, Benedict and Colin.
Filming for season 2 is underway in London, and no, Regé-Jean Page’s Simon Basset will not be appearing in season 2. But we can look forward to some timely pop-ins and advice from his wife, Daphne, to help her brother and his courting along the way!
