Joining the cast of Starz’s upcoming drama Gaslit is Dan Stevens, known for his iconic roles in series such as Downton Abbey and FX’s Legion.

Gaslit, which is based on the award-winning podcast Slow Burn, will dive into the untold stories and forgotten characters involved in the Watergate scandal. Previously announced cast members include Julia Roberts, who will star as Martha Mitchell, and Sean Penn, who will take on the role of her husband Attorney General John Mitchell. Stevens, meanwhile, will portray the young White House Counsel John Dean, replacing the previously announced Armie Hammer.

Robbie Pickering serves as creator and showrunner for the series, and Matt Ross is on board as director and executive producer.
