‘Batwoman’ Finds Its New Kate Kane in Wallis Day

After season 1 of Batwoman, it was announced that Ruby Rose, the show’s lead at the time, would not return to the series, leaving the show without its Kate Kane. So far in season 2, the bat team and their new Batwoman, played by Javicia Leslie, have been searching for Kate, who was more or less presumed dead after a plane crash. In last night’s episode, Kate Kane (kind of) makes her return.

After the east coast airing of the episode, the news broke that Kate Kane will indeed return to the show, but this time with a new face. Taking over the role of Kate Kane will be Wallis Day (Krypton). However, Kate’s return does not necessarily mean she will take back the torch as Batwoman. As the show enters its second half of the season, it will explore more of what happened to Kate and where her character is heading.

Though there’s currently no word on when Day will be introduced into the show, it’s likely Kate Kane will return sometime within the next few episodes or so (we hope. We have a LOT of questions).

Batwoman airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on The CW. Find our weekly recaps and other coverage here.
