New Hit CBS Show ‘The Equalizer’ With Queen Latifah Renewed for Season 2!

Her work isn’t finished just yet. The new CBS hit drama, The Equalizer starring Queen Latifah, has received an early season 2 renewal! According to TVLine, the show made its debut after this year’s Super Bowl and made quite the impression with a whopping 20 million viewers! It continues to be a Sunday night favorite among viewers, so this early renewal comes as no surprise!

Here’s a statement from CBS President Kelly Kahl, according to TVLine:

“We’re extremely proud to see this outstanding broadcast drama, led by Queen Latifah, punch through the competitive landscape and return for a second season.”

Latifah plays Robin McCall, a former CIA operative who uses her specific set of skills to help those who have no one else to turn to. The action-packed drama also stars Adam Goldberg, Tory Kittles, Lorraine Toussaint, Chris Noth, and more.
