The city of Townsville won’t be quiet for too much longer. The upcoming live action series from The CW has cast the twenty-something versions of Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup.
Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) will play the fearless leader Blossom, Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie) will play the sweetheart Bubbles, and Yana Perrault (Jagged Little Pill) will play the strong and wild Buttercup.
The Powerpuff Girls series will follow all three of the sisters as they must return to the superhero life after a long hiatus. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup have their own demons to deal with as well as bad guys that threaten their own lives.
Berlanti Productions, the team behind shows such as Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash will produce the live-action reboot with Vita Vera Films.
