Lizze Broadway and Jaz Sinclair Join the Cast of ‘The Boys’ Spin-Off Series

Universal Pictures/Netflix

Back in September of last year, it was announced that a spin-off series for the hit Amazon Prime Video show The Boys was in development. The first official casting announcements have now been made for the show. Lizze Broadway (Here and Now, American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules) will appear in the role of a young superhero named Emma. Meanwhile, Deadline has reported that Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) has been cast as a fellow young superhero named Marie.

The Boys is based on the best-selling comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, set in a world where superheroes exist and corruption runs rampant. Whereas the main series follows the story of the wayward vigilantes the Boys as they fight to take down The Seven and Vought International, the spin-off will focus on a Supe college that’s run by the aforementioned villainous corporation. It’s described as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.

Craig Rosenberg, a writer and executive producer on The Boys, will serve as showrunner and an executive producer for the spin-off. Other executive producers will include The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Garth Ennis, and Darick Robertson.

As per Variety, the spin-off is currently nearing a series order at Amazon. Season 3 of The Boys recently began filming in Canada.
