Amazon’s ‘Modern Love’ Announces All-Start Cast for Season 2
Amazon’s popular series Modern Love is officially coming back for a second season, and with an all-star cast to match the first season.
First premiering on Amazon Prime Video in October of 2019, Modern Love brought to life stories of people from all different walks of life as they fall in love in New York. Based on the New York Times column of the same name, the show was highly relatable to audiences and has been well received across the board, so the announcement of a second season set to drop sometime this year should come as no surprise.
In its eight highly popular episodes, the first season of Modern Love featured a multitude of notable celebrities including Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel, Tina Fey, and Andrew Scott, just to name a few. So it makes sense that the second season would require just as impressive of a cast. As of now, Amazon has announced over two dozen different actors for the new season. Some of the more popular names include Kit Harington (Game of Thrones), Dominique Fishback (breakout star of Judas and the Black Messiah), Anna Paquin (True Blood, Flack), and Minnie Driver (Will and Grace).
Other actors announced include: Gbenga Akinnagbe, Susan Blackwell, Lucy Boynton, Tom Burke, Zoe Chao, Maria Dizzia, Grace Edwards, Kathryn Gallagher, Garrett Hedlund, Telci Huynh, Nikki M. James, Aparna Nancherla, Larry Owens, Zane Pais, Isaac Powell, Ben Rappaport, Milan Ray, Jack Reynor, Miranda Richardson, Marquis Rodriguez, James Scully, Zuzanna Szadkowski, Lulu Wilson, Don Wycherley, and Jeena Yi.
We do not yet have details about what kinds of stories this new season will tell, but showrunners are excited for the chance to share more of New York’s love stories with us all through this new season.
