The upcoming adaptation of Soman Chainani’s The School for Good and Evil has found its two deans! Charlize Theron (The Old Guard) and Kerry Washington (Little Fires Everywhere) have been cast as Lady Lesso — the Dean for the School of Evil — and Professor Dovey — the Dean for the School of Good — respectively.

Based on the New York Times bestselling series, The School for Good and Evil focuses on best friends Sophie and Agatha, two students enrolled in the School for Good and Evil where students are trained to be fairy tale heroes and villains. Sophie just knows she’ll be picked for the School of Good, while Agatha seems to fit more with the School for Evil. But when their placements are reversed, their friendship is put to the test.

Sofia Wylie and Sophia Anne Caruso will star in the film as Agatha and Sophie respectively. David Magee and Laura Solon will write the screenplay, with Paul Feig directing. Feig will produce with Laura Fischer, Joe Roth, Jeffrey Kirschenbaum, and Jane Startz. Chainani will serve as executive producer alongside Zack Roth and Patricia Riggen.
