Thank You for Being a Friend! Every Season of ‘Golden Girls’ Is Coming to Disney+ UK

Everyone’s favorite senior ladies of Miami are officially coming to Disney+ UK this summer as every episode of Golden Girls moves to the streaming service!

The now classic sitcom ran on NBC from 1985 to 1992. Starring Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, Betty White, and Estelle Getty, the show follows these ladies as they navigate living out their so-called ‘golden years’ together. Regularly considered one of the best sitcoms of its era, Golden Girls was nominated for 58 Primetime Emmy Awards eleven of which it won. The show also saw 21 Golden Globe nominations with four wins, including three for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. Its success both in its original run and many years of re-runs have kept “Golden Girls” alive in the hearts of audiences everywhere.

While the entire series is currently available in the US via Hulu, Golden Girls is finally coming to streaming in the UK this summer via Disney+. We do not yet have an official release date, but it has been made clear that this release will come separate from the addition of Disney’s ‘Star’ channel.
