The Bleacher Report broke the news that WWE superstars Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will appear on an episode of Peacock’s Punky Brewster reboot. The reboot is a continuation of the original series that starred Soleil Moon Frye in the title role that ran from 1984-1988. Frye will now play a single mother of three that is trying to get her life back on track when she runs into Izzy, a young girl in the foster system that reminds her of herself. The cast also includes Cherie Johnson, Quinn Copeland, Freddy Prinze Jr., Oliver De Los Santos, Noah Cottrell, and Lauren Lindsey Donzis.
As we know, Peacock and WWE have a deal together to air all of the current WWE Networks content, which will soon dissolve as they embark on their business journey. So the guest appearances makes sense as to why two of the roster’s top women would be featured. Both Bliss and Flair also seem to be in character, which is definitely something we can’t wait to see play out in their episode!
Punky Brewster premieres February 25 on the streaming service.
