Netflix

Dearest Readers, this author finds herself sharing the most exciting of news — the Duke of Hastings is making his way to our screens once more. NBC and Saturday Night Live have announced that Bridgerton‘s Regé-Jean Page is set to host the sketch comedy show on Saturday, February 20. Bad Bunny will join Page as the musical guest.

Page has become quite the household name in the past few months, starring in the Netflix original series Bridgerton. Page takes on the role of Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, a bachelor committed to avoiding marriage at all costs — but even the most stubborn of Dukes eventually finds his Duchess.

Bridgerton is adapted from the romance novels by Julia Quinn, with season 1 based upon the first book, The Duke and I. It is set in Regency-era London and primarily follows Daphne Bridgerton as she makes her social debut to eventually find a husband. The show also goes into the lives of the other Bridgerton family members and the captivating drama they find themselves drawn into.

The series will return for a second season, set to focus on Anthony Bridgerton — the eldest brother — and will draw from The Viscount Who Loved Me. Bridgerton also earned two Screen Actors Guild nominations and smashed Netflix records as the most-watched series for the streamer, with 82 million people tuning in to watch.

Stream season 1 of Bridgerton now on Netflix. Make sure to tune into Page’s Saturday Night Live debut on Saturday, February 20 at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
