Exclusive Photos From Entertainment Weekly Give First Look at ‘Riverdale’ Time Jump
With the gang graduating from high school, things are about to change in Riverdale. Entertainment Weekly has released exclusive photos from next week’s episode, which will begin the seven-year time jump. The photos feature Archie in uniform, a ponytail-less Betty, Toni as a literal Serpent Queen, and Erinn Westbrook as Tabitha Tate.
The official synopsis for Riverdale‘s first post-time jump episode, “Chapter Eighty: Purgatorio,” reads:
“SEVEN-YEAR TIME JUMP – After spending seven years away from Riverdale, Archie (KJ Apa) returns to find the town is now under Hiram Lodge’s (Mark Consuelos) grip and on the verge of becoming a ghost town. When Toni (Vanessa Morgan) catches him up on what’s been going on, Archie reaches out to the rest of the gang to return home. Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott, Charles Melton, Drew Ray Tanner and Erinn Westbrook also star. Steve Adelson directed the episode written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (#504). Original airdate 2/10/2021.”
“Chapter Eighty: Purgatorio” airs next Wednesday, February 10 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on The CW, streaming free the next day on The CW app.
