The CW has announced early renewals for 12 television series, as well as ordered more episodes for two of its new shows. The decision is part of a “strategic head start” on the network’s part to allow production teams to get a head start on writing their next seasons and hiring where necessary.
The shows that have been renewed are:
- Riverdale, returning for season 6
- All American, returning for season 4
- Batwoman, returning for season 3
- Legacies, returning for season 4
- DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, returning for season 7
- The Flash, returning for season 8
- Dynasty, returning for season 5
- Nancy Drew, returning for season 3
- Roswell, New Mexico, returning for season 4
- Charmed, returning for season 4
- In the Dark, returning for season 4
- Walker, returning for season 2
The network also revealed that five additional episodes have been picked up for season 1 of Walker, bringing its total episode count to 18. Superman & Lois season 1 has also been expanded by two episodes, bringing its total to 15 episodes. There’s currently no word on whether Superman & Lois will return for season 2.
