The CW Renews ‘Riverdale’ for Season 6!
With the graduation episode of Riverdale airing tonight, The CW seems to have given the gang the perfect graduation gift. The network has announced the renewal of many of their shows, including Riverdale, which just recently started its fifth season.
Season 5 of Riverdale began right where season 4 left off, with Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) still trying to investigate the mystery of their Auteur, all while at the same time getting through the final weeks of high school. That mystery, as well as another one, was recently solved in last week’s episode. Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) hit a snag in their relationship, while Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and Toni (Vanessa Morgan) were going against family wishes, for their relationship and future business.
Tonight’s episode, “Chapter Seventy-Nine: Graduation,” will see the teens finally graduate from Riverdale High and then starting next week, the show will be going seven years into the future, taking the gang out of college and back in Riverdale.
The first four seasons of Riverdale are currently available to stream on Netflix while the fifth season can be streamed for free on The CW app or cwtv.com. New episodes of Riverdale air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on The CW, streaming free the next day on The CW app!
